Description
2025 Srixon Z-STAR XV Golf Balls – Overview
The 2025 Z-STAR XV is Srixon’s tour-level ball designed for players with high swing speeds who want to maximize distance without sacrificing control around the greens. This model is known for its firm feel, explosive speed, and consistent flight in all conditions.
Key Features and Technology
FastLayer DG Core 2.0
A core that gradually firms from the center outward. This design helps generate faster ball speeds off the driver while maintaining spin and control with irons and wedges.
Thin Urethane Cover with Biomass Additives
An ultra-thin urethane cover includes eco-friendly materials, reducing environmental impact while preserving durability and soft feel around the green.
Spin Skin+ Coating
A friction-boosting layer applied to the cover that enhances spin on short shots and resists wear and discoloration over time.
338 Speed Dimple Pattern
A specialized aerodynamic design that promotes a penetrating flight and reduces drag, helping maintain stable performance in windy conditions.
Performance Highlights
| Category | Performance |
|---|---|
| Feel | Firm, with a crisp response at impact |
| Compression | High (rated at 102), suitable for faster swing speeds |
| Distance | Maximized driver and long iron carry |
| Launch | Mid-to-high trajectory with low spin off the driver |
| Short Game Spin | High spin for precise control on chips and pitches |
| Wind Stability | Excellent—maintains flight consistency in wind |
On-Course Experience
Golfers report high ball speeds, low driver spin, and a strong carry distance with this ball. It delivers consistent, piercing ball flight, and excellent greenside control despite its firmer feel. Ideal for those who prioritize performance over softness in feel.
