Buyr is in Shopify Sidekick — talk to name-your-price from admin chat
Something big just landed for Buyr.
The Buyr Shopify app is now integrated with Shopify Sidekick. That means the same AI assistant merchants already use inside Shopify admin can talk to Buyr — name-your-price offers, pricing, launch readiness, and campaigns — in plain language.
This is not a quiet backend tweak. It is Buyr showing up where modern commerce work actually happens: in a conversation. You can say Buyr out loud, ask what is pending, what is ready to launch, or what campaign to start next — and Sidekick knows how to reach into Buyr.

Why this matters
Buyr was built so shoppers can set their price on authentic goods, and merchants can protect brand and margin while still capturing demand that a fixed price would leave on the table. That promise only scales if running Buyr feels as natural as running the rest of the store.
Shopify Sidekick is already the place teams ask for help with products, orders, and day-to-day admin. Putting Buyr inside that chat means name-your-price ops stop living in a separate mental tab. Offers, floors, launch checks, and campaigns become part of the same flow as the rest of Shopify.
For shoppers, the win is indirect but real: when merchants can clear offers faster and launch products with less friction, more of the catalog stays alive for Name Your Price — and more fair deals unlock.
What Sidekick can do with Buyr
When you mention Buyr by name in Sidekick, it can work with the Buyr layer on your shop:
- Offers — Search pending name-your-price offers, pull the newest ones, count the queue, break down status, or open a single offer or a shopper’s activity.
- Pricing — Look up pricing models, preview how a price sits against your floors, and validate an offer before you decide.
- Performance — Read Buyr offer analytics so you see demand, not only Shopify sales charts.
- Launch readiness — Ask whether a product is ready for Buyr, and check launch run status.
- Campaigns — List Buyr marketing campaigns, check how they are performing, open one to edit, or start creating a new campaign from chat.
- Health — Confirm the Buyr app is up and ready.
Shopify Sidekick still owns Shopify objects — products, orders, customers, pages, collections, discounts, refunds. Buyr owns the negotiable-price layer. That split keeps shopper questions on the storefront and merchant questions in admin, where they belong.
You stay in control
Buyr’s Sidekick tools are built for confirm-before-write. Sidekick can stage an approve, reject, or counter on an offer page. It can fill campaign fields in the editor. It does not silently save, publish ads, or post organic social for you.
You hit the same Save and confirm controls you already trust. Name-your-price only works when merchants keep the final say on margin and brand — and we designed Sidekick that way on purpose.

How it feels in practice
Clear the offer queue from chat.
Open Sidekick and say something like: “Buyr, how many pending offers do we have, and show me the newest ones waiting on us.” Sidekick can count and search pending offers, then open one so you can approve, reject, or counter. It stages the decision. You confirm on the offer page.
Start a campaign without hunting menus.
Try: “Buyr, create a campaign for the Callaway ERC Soft balls that are in stock.” Sidekick can open Buyr campaign create and fill the editor. You save. Paid spend and organic publish stay deliberate steps — never a silent Sidekick write.

The habit is simple: mention Buyr, ask a read first, then let Sidekick open the right screen when you are ready to act.
Part of a bigger Buyr AI story
Sidekick is the in-admin home for Buyr. It sits alongside the rest of how Buyr shows up for AI:
- Shoppers still Name Their Price on the storefront — dial, chat, unlock.
- Shopping agents use Buyr shopping MCP when someone wants a negotiable price instead of a locked list price.
- Merchants who already live in Grok, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Slack can still connect Buyr admin MCP for the same confirm-before-write culture outside Shopify admin.
Different surfaces. Same idea: make fair deals easier to ask for, and easier to run.
What to do next
If you run a Shopify store with Buyr installed, open Sidekick, say Buyr, and ask about your offers. If you are shopping on Buyr, keep doing what you already do — find something you love, set your price, and unlock the deal. Merchants moving faster in Sidekick means more of that catalog stays ready for you.
