The 2021 Nordica Santa Ana 98 women's skis are a fantastic choice for advanced and expert skiers looking for the ultimate in versatility. Whether it's two feet of fresh or rock-hard groomers, the Santa Ana 98 is ready for the task at hand. With a new build, shape, and profile, the Santa Ana 98 takes the older 100 and gives it a boost in refinement and attention to detail. In terms of construction, the lightweight wood core of yesteryear is replaced by a Performance wood core that has more stability and stiffness. The two sheets of metal are replaced with one terrain-specific sheet. For the 98, this laminate is right in the middle for Santa Ana's line, and allows for proper flexion and dampness for the size and shape of the ski. This allows Nordica to really fine-tune and customize the flex and performance of the ski and really get it to match the terrain and conditions as well as the size and skier type of the user. Nordica's all-mountain rocker profile is relatively unchanged and is great for both firm and soft snow. By knocking 2 mm off of the previous Santa Ana 100, Nordica has slightly increased edge grip and torsional stiffness, and when that shape change is combined with the True Tip technology, it certainly makes for a ski that loves to turn. True Tip lightens the tips of the skis, allowing this burly stick to be more playful and maneuverable. In trees and bumps or other tight spots, this is a huge benefit.
